Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 01/12/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours Employment Type: Travel Travel Radiologic Technologist – Diagnostic (Community) Location: Syracuse, NY Assignment Length: 13 weeks Start Date: January 12, 2026 Schedule: Evenings, 5x8s Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM Weekends/Holidays: Rotating as needed On-Call: Possible Qualifications Associate’s Degree (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent Current New York State license/registration Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Radiologic Technologist Duties & Responsibilities The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic examinations under the direction of departmental radiologists. Key responsibilities include: Greeting patients and explaining procedures in a clear, professional manner Positioning patients and selecting appropriate exposure factors to obtain high-quality diagnostic images Practicing radiation safety and protection to ensure patients are not exposed to unnecessary radiation Operating imaging equipment efficiently and effectively to produce accurate studies Identifying and reporting equipment malfunctions to the immediate supervisor Processing films and entering required data into the Radiology Information System (RIS) for documentation and billing Ensuring proper use and care of imaging equipment Adhering to departmental policies, procedures, and protocols as outlined in the Policy and Procedure Manual Providing radiologic examinations based on referring physician and radiologist orders This role is primarily focused on delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services in support of patient care and clinical needs.
