Principal Analyst in our Customer team in Waltham, MA, and Syracuse

ourselves and our business. Job Purpose The Customer Principal
Analyst Data Governance is a key role in the Customer Data
Transformation team. He/she will lead the data transformation in
the customer organization by managing, stewarding, facilitating and
implementing the data governance framework. He/she will work at
tactical level, collaborate and partner with enterprise data
stewards to improve data quality, accessibility of data, ownership,
implementation of data policies and documentation of data (business
definition, integrity rules, qualitative criteria, security
requirements, etc.). This role has the responsibility to improve
the data maturity level, comply with Business Management Systems
(BMS) data standards and accelerate the data needs for advanced
analytics, ML and AI by building the data artifacts and metadata
management. Key Accountabilities
- Lead implementation of data standards for customer data across
business units and systems that produce or consume customer
data
- Define customer sub-domains & entities and identify their
enterprise data stewards in order to implement data standard to
improve level of data maturity
- Facilitate customer working council meeting creating a cadence
to discuss and agree on what data issues to prioritize, discuss
projects and change request to implement, share maturity assessment
outcomes, plan training for data management practices and methods
supported by IT tools, communicate and share new data capabilities
ideas and customer portfolio roadmap.
- Drive business requirements and user stories for data
capabilities using agile methodology. Be part of the scrum team,
sometimes as product owner, and define priorities of user stories
an epics related to customer data to implement in the sprint
cycles.
- Collaborate with enterprise data steward and define data
quality business rules, data quality dimensions and reporting
metrics. Design and implement process to monitor and improve
quality of data with definitions of roles and responsibilities.
Develop KPIs and establish an operational framework for
incrementally improving data quality
- Lead, own and champion data management across the customer
organization and develop a culture that embraces the value of data
quality management, as well as inspiring and engaging others in
new, innovative ways of working to enhance commitment and value
contribution.
- Partner with enterprise architect, data architect and data
governance team to establish business-side best practices for data
management.
- Manage communication and change management with stakeholders
directly and indirectly impacted by data management procedures and
assist stakeholders in standing up business capability within their
organization
- Champion the removal of cultural and other legacy barriers in
the pursuit of standardized data management processes and gain
stakeholder consensus with the proposed process changes through
interaction with functional business leaders and demonstration of
tangible business value.
- Responsible for supporting operational requirements for
customer data across large transformational projects.
- Maintain Customer data standards in the Enterprise Catalog and
promote adoption of those through use by customer-centric
initiatives enterprise-wide.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related field, advanced degree
preferred
- 7+ years of data governance experience leading data
transformation in organizations
- Proven experience in setting up and managing Data Governance
and Management organizations and frameworks, working council,
including in complex/federated/global/regulated environments
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Experience with data quality tool (preferred Informatica CDQ),
data governance tool (Informatica Data Catalog) and MDM (preferred
Informatica or Reltio) More Information Salary$124,000- $175,000 a
