Eaton's Electrical Crouse-Hinds division is currently seeking a Supply Chain Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Syracuse, New York facility. - Position Overview: The Supply Chain Analyst reports directly to the site Supply Chain Manager. The primary function of this role is to provide specialized support to the Syracuse management team through data analytics, reporting, and strong system knowledge. This includes timely release requirements against customer orders to support manufacturing requirements and coordinating interface with suppliers on delivery. This role also analyzes large sets of data with the objective of providing timely and accurate feedback to customers, operations, and plant leadership team. This role will also partner with individuals at plant level to provide analytic services, assist in the development and execution of analytic routines while maintaining acceptable cycle time and quality standards, build working relationship with the off-site analytic team, participate and support special projects and ad-hoc data analysis upon request on an as needed basis - inventory monitoring, shipment monitoring, service monitoring, building tools to better project month end figures.   • Timely planning and execution of work orders to support daily operations, including reviewing work order material shortages and executing timely delivery of raw materials for production including prompt and proper actions to MRP planner messages.
  • Determines order points, appropriate order quantities, safety stock and related inventory controls evaluates deviations from normal guidelines on assigned parts by recommending alternative actions to be employed in the event of failure to meet production schedules.
  • Support data analytics regarding translating large, complex data sets into easy-to-understand summaries to be used for presenting to senior leadership and customers.
  • Lead materials projects that will improve visibility of drivers to eliminate roadblocks to achieving plant performance goals.
  • Ability to leverage strong MS Excel/Power BI skills to highlight areas of focus that will drive process improvements. Ensure that material and capacity are planned correctly, researching present and potential material shortages and incorporating corrective actions.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to increase On-Time Delivery while decreasing inventory investment. Participate in identifying, communicating, and resolving supplier problems through the development and maintenance of ethical supplier relationships that foster a desire to furnish new ideas and promote cooperation with Eaton on an on-going basis.
  • Maintain and project inventory positions that satisfy asset management goals and minimize risk of product obsolescence.
  • Responsible for Part Activation activities and Change Management policies including Engineering Change Notices (ECN) execution including implementing changes to computer records and evaluating changes in inventory and customer requirements influenced by the ECN..
  • Participates in process improvement teams or Kaizen events as needed.
  • Functions in a team environment focused on maintaining on-time delivery, minimum inventory, quality and maximum utilization of resources.
  • Follow all safety rules, report all accidents or unsafe conditions to supervision immediately and wear all required personal protective equipment QualificationsRequired (Basic) Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Materials Management (or combination of).
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Materials Management: Material Planning, Master Scheduling, Materials Analysis, etc.
    • Minimum 1 year of experience working with a large scale MRP system such as Oracle, SAP, MFG Pro, etc.
    • Must be able to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future
    • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. - Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the Syracuse, NY -facility will be considered. - Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business, Manufacturing, or Engineering
      • 3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Materials Management, or Logistics
      • 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment
      • APICS CPIM certification Position Success Criteria:

        • Strong understanding of MRP/ERP functions, rules and integration into the manufacturing process, including the implementation of ERP Rules.
        • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
