Tasks include conducting financial modeling on various financial products as well as measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives, and preparing reports for management. This Senior Financial Analyst role is located in Syracuse, New York, and it is a full-time employment opportunity. Major responsibilities- Look over performance to date while assessing potential opportunities and risks- Understand and explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending- Enable successful Business Intelligence (BI) to deliver valuable foresight and decision support- Endorse weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings as well as P&L forecasting- This position requires a flexible individual who is adept at managing expectations and comfortable with handling large amounts of information- Lead monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and if any actions are required- Keep tabs on monthly and quarterly performance through the comparison of actuals versus expectations, ensuring that business partners handle their resources- Work on monthly and quarterly financial close processes in collaboration with the Accounting team- Execute and monitor forecasting reports- Collaborate with senior executives on strategic deep dives through the development of financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization- Work alongside cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to see the proper execution of plansJob Requirements:- Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)- BA/BS degree in finance or a related field- Excellent oral and written communications skills- Solid understanding of Excel - Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectivelyFor confidential consideration, please email your resume directly to christopher.preble@roberthalf.comRobert Half Finance & Accounting matches skilled professionals with remote or on-site jobs in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, audit, taxation and more on a full-time basis.
