*Job Overview:**Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Nursing)**Location: 830 Washington Street, Watertown, NY 13601**Pay Rate: $60 to $65**Shifts: 12 hours Evening's (11a-11p) **Weeks: 13 weeks**Job Summary*We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in emergency situations, demonstrating critical thinking skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.*Duties** Assess and prioritize patient needs in the emergency room setting* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians* Perform triage assessments to determine the urgency of patient care* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care* Monitor and document patient vital signs and medical history accurately* Respond efficiently to medical emergencies within the ER setting*60 MILE RADIUS RULE **Requirements:*Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Critical Care and charge experience preferred. *May begin entry level without Emergency Department experience, but a minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience is required*.Must have the ability to identify and intervene in life threatening situations.Possesses a thorough knowledge of nursing principles, ability to provide quality patient care, and ability to assess patient's needs, e.g. clinical, teaching, mental and spiritual.Must recognize safety issues to self and others and be able to assess and implement use of lifts to move patients in a safe manner.Must be able to function well in stressful situations and have good, creative, problem-solving skills. Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate.May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse.Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required.
