Aerotek is immediately interviewing and hiring for assemblers in the Syracuse area!
Shift: 5am - 1:30pm
Pay: $17.00 - $18.70/hr
Description :

  Mechanical aptitude

  Position is responsible for the assembly, testing and inspection of a wide variety of electronic products.
  
  
  TYPICAL DAY
  
  • 
    
  • 
    Set up in area for day, very structured and will not change during shift (could change end of day for following day)
    
    
  • 
    Get the run rate for the product you are assembling that day
    
    
  • 
    Sitting/standing through out day, there are some functions that require both
    
    
  • 
    Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs
    
    
  • 
    Using tweezers and hand drivers and other simple "tools" to assemble
    
    
  • 
    Use fixtures to keep subassemblies in place
    
    
    RESPONSIBILITIES
    
    • 
      
    • 
      Assemble varied electronic products, consistently meeting quality standards.
      
      
    • 
      Perform in-process and final assembly inspections and report potential defects to shift leader or manager.
      
      
    • 
      Foster a high-performing team environment through daily communication with supervisor and colleagues in all manufacturing areas.
      
      
    • 
      Work with manufacturing team to meet production schedules, including overtime as required by production needs.
      
      
    • 
      Provide regular feedback to management regarding potential product and assembly process improvements.
      
      
    • 
      Comply with all company policies and programs, to include those regarding ethics, conduct, safety, security, ISO, and continuous improvement.
      
      
    • 
      Perform all other related duties as assigned.
      
      
      GENERAL TASKS
      
      • 
        
      • 
        Maintain compliance with the quality, occupational safety and environmental regulations and implementation of the instructions of the quality / environmental management officer and the occupational safety specialist.
        
        
      • 
        As a leader in Novanta, you will help create and maintain facilities for your area of responsibility, and for giving instructions and taking other measures to ensure, maintain and improve occupational safety and environmental protection regarding occupational safety and environmental protection, the prevention of occupational accidents and environmental damage, occupational diseases and work-related health hazards.
