Description Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) professional with experience and a knack for problem-solving to join a growing firm in the Manufacturing industry. Responsibilities of this position include: enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Moravia, New York area.

- Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in different ledgers
- Confirm documents and codes
- Promote, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Provide information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders
- Identify delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, written correspondence, phone contact, and making arrangements for payment
- Execute a range of foundational accounting tasks in agreement with normal procedures, including general accounting tasks
- Sort out payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
- Help resolve payment issues by contacting clients, assist in setting up payment plans Requirements - Sage Accounting Software experience
- Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred
- Accounts receivables systems experience
- Command of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
- Experience with ERP systems
- 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
- Proven analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
