Description:Objectives of this Role Develop application
solutions for customers that meet stated scope requirements based
on RFQs and customer requests, within the timeframe allotment,
quality standards and cost objectives.Duties and
Responsibilities
- Maximize sales by assisting and supporting Schneider Regional
Sales Managers, and potential and existing customers. Communicate,
understand, compare, and contrast the solutions that are available
for buying new equipment, modifications to existing equipment and
troubleshooting problems with their implementations.
- Conceptualize solutions to applications and key customer issues
and create proposals in compliance with Schneider sales
procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and R&D when
appropriate.
- Create quotes and layouts to support proposals.
- Develop pricing, descriptive proposal, and Robotic simulations
(when needed).
- Effectively present Schneider product and system solutions to
Schneider Regional Managers and Customers.
- Keep detailed records of activities including communications
and documents in Schneider's CRM system.
- Occasionally travel to customer locations in support of
Schneider Regional Managers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by
management.Requirements:Skills and Qualifications
- BS in mechanical/electrical engineering OR equivalent
experience with additional training in computer applications
especially MSOffice and AutoCAD, ver. X.
- Minimum 5 years in a high technology engineering applications
role desired.
- Demonstrated success in managing customer relationships.
- Sales proposals and communication required.
- Understanding of robotic systems and packaging equipment is
favored.Physical/Mental Standards
- Ability to operate computer and telephone.
- Manual dexterity sufficient for constant use of a keyboard,
mouse, and telephone. Speech and hearing sufficient for regular
communications. Vision sufficient for use of a computer monitor and
transaction documents.
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to perform climbing, stooping, crouching, walking,
grasping, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.
- Executing up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to
20 pounds of force frequently, and or 10 pounds of force constantly
to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Close mental and visual requirements needed to perform work
dealing primarily with sales and engineering, machine design, and
preparing data and figures, computer, blueprints and extensive
reading.
- Ability to plan, schedule, train, check and evaluate work.
- Ability to troubleshoot (electrical / programs / machine /
sales / purchasing)
- Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
