We also leverage our expertise in vacuum technology to provide unique, toxic chemical analysis products for emergency response, security, and environmental health and safety.Position OverviewAs a part of the software engineering team, you will design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain software that interfaces with and/or controls INFICON products. The Software Engineer provides expert knowledge of software development techniques and leads the design and implementation effort.Job Requirements

• Design, develop, deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain the Linux and Windows based software that interfaces with and/or controls INFICON products
• Analyze and understand requirements and generate test plan
• Design and document software architecture
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical directions
• Represent the software development aspect of product development in product planning meetings pertaining to the Senior Software Engineer's domain of expertise
• Lead day-to-day technical development effortsRequired Skills
  • Expert in C and C++
  • Embedded Linux application and service programming
  • Understanding of Linux internals
  • Experience in embedded debug tools
  • Understanding of binary serialization
  • Understanding of interfacing off-the-shelf and custom hardware with Linux
  • Basic understanding of I2C, SPI and UART
  • Basic understanding of Yocto
  • Python experience is a plus
  • Network control protocol experience is a plusEducation and Experience -Required
    • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
