Job Description:
Research Scientist$65-75K plus bonusCPS Recruitment is currently
seeking Research Scientist for an outstanding company located in
the Norwich, NY area. In this Research Scientist role, you will be
an expert in completing analytical requirements, testing, and other
activities related to pharmaceutical products. You will lead
research projects by performing sample testing and validating the
methods necessary to support development and commercialization of
products. As the Research Scientist, you will provide technical
oversight, training, and supervision of development, transfer,
verification, and/or validation of methods related to analyzing raw
materials, semi-finished/finished products, and stability.Why you

but are not limited to:Responsible for technical and scientific
integrity of work performed by the laboratory group, ensuring that
all work is completed in a scientifically sound, timely and cGMP
compliant mannerDevelop and maintain work plans and schedules to
meet the requirements of development projects, process improvement
initiatives, or other business needs requiring laboratory
supportDrive the development and validation strategy for all
analytical methods necessary for commercialization of
pharmaceutical products. This includes evaluating and defining
material specifications, validation/verification/transfer
requirements, equipment acquisition/installation, reference
standards/reagents, authoring methods/reports, training, safety,
and other steps as requiredHands-on laboratory bench work and
sample testing as required to support development of pharmaceutical
products. This includes but not limited to performing assay,
related compounds testing, dissolution, uniformity, and other tests
to characterize and demonstrate product performanceSupervise
laboratory bench work to develop, optimize, and troubleshoot
analytical methods for testing raw materials and products
(semi-finished and finished) supporting technology transfer to
other laboratory sites as requiredAuthor and/or approve method
validation/verification/transfer protocols and reports compliant
with cGMP regulations, industry standards, and customer direction
and consistent with the developed installation strategy and project
scopeWork in compliance of all US and international regulatory
agencies and compliance requirements as they relate to analytical
testingRequirements:MS or PhD in Chemistry or related science and
5+ years of related work experienceExpertise with GMP regulations
and ICH guidelinesExtensive experience with expertise in the
majority of the following: HPLC, GC, dissolution, UV-Vis, X-ray
Diffraction, Karl Fischer, IR, PSD, wet chemistry, and USP/EP
compendial test proceduresExperience with chromatographic data
acquisition systems such as Empower, ChemStation etc. (Empower
greatly preferred)Experience leading and supervising personnel in a
