Our friendly staff can be found attending lectures, working out together at our state of the art gym facilities, kayaking, paddle boarding and sailing on Lake Moraine, and participating in one of the many daily events that take place on campus and in the Village of Hamilton.Accountabilities Primarily accountable for speed and accuracy of execution (including ethical standards) of purchase orders.Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Providing effective customer service and effective training and communication related to key departmental technologies.Accurate and timely reporting and information gathering related to key department functions as assigned.Vendor onboarding and accountability including, but not limited to timeliness, cost efficiency, quality and ethics as assigned.Campus wide vending services.Providing backup support in the absence of key staff within the department.Campus wide training of department procedures and preferred suppliers such as travel, office supplies and science equipment.Employee Discount Program.Planning and execution of all department/program events.Vendor maintenance within Purchasing systems as assigned.Other duties required to support departmental goals.Technical CompetenciesName PurchasingDescription Demonstrated ability to consistently execute purchase orders according to internal processes and requirements.Name FinancialDescription Demonstrated ability to understand University procurement requirements and basic financial concepts. Demonstrated advanced knowledge of ERP (e.g. Banner).Name TechnologyDescription Demonstrated expertise with key purchasing systems sufficient to operate as a power user with all day to day functionality.Name Customer ServiceDescription Demonstrated skill in proper customer service with all departments and stakeholders of the purchasing functionName Contract ReviewDescription Demonstrated ability to interpret and follow contractual requirements related to vendor relationships.
