Description:A Hardware System Architect will conduct Trade Studies, generate requirements, create architecture diagrams, define subsystems, and maintain interface control documents for an advanced radar system.
In the course of this job, an architect will:

  • Define Subcontractor Statements of Work (SoW), evaluate subcontractor proposals, and manage subcontractor through completion of work, including design reviews, deliverable evaluation, and test.
  • Define signal-level interfaces both electrically and mechanically and maintain these definitions in Interface Control and Design Documents.
  • Work with multiple engineers and customers to identify incompatibilities between subsystems and drive to resolution.
  • Evaluate the impact of changing requirements or new feature insertion.
  • Review requirements verification plans and results.
  • Present and participate in internal and customer design reviews and meetings.
  • Support system integration and troubleshoot unexpected behavior.A successful candidate will have meticulous attention to detail, have strong interpersonal skills, and be comfortable working unconstrained tasks.

    Basic Qualifications:
    A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is strongly preferred but will consider candidates with other Engineering backgrounds. The candidate should have significant experience in hardware development, radar systems, digital systems, RF, and power distribution. A knowledge of VITA 46, Open VPX, and EFYI, Imbedded Conduction Cooled Computing is also preferred.
