Sodexo is seeking a Chef Manager for it’s operations at Longview at Ithacare, a retirement community in Ithaca, NY. Longview at Ithaca serves Assisted and Independent Living Residents.The Chef Manager will oversee the food production and service, train and develop employees, maintain culinary standards, assist with food and labor budgets, monitor food safety and sanitation for regulatory compliance. 


The successful candidate will:

  • direct and supervise kitchen operations and designated back of house staff;
  • ensure that the highest possible standards of food handling and preparation are achieved;
  • control and ensure the company's and client's financial targets are achieved;
  • engage with peers, colleagues and patrons in a manner that invites interaction and feedback.

  • have experience with modified diets such as altered textures and tube feedings.
  • have culinary experience in a healthcare setting, hospital, nursing home, etc.:
  • have commercial acumen and a good level of computer literacy;
  • are enthusiastic, confident and warm;
  • have a positive approach to tasks with a can-do attitude and impeccable attention to detail.
