Job Description:

The Events Coordinator will provide support for events, affinity programs, and related communications efforts led by the Office of Alumni Engagement. Reporting to the Exec Dir., Events and Affinity Programs, this position will provide task-oriented and logistical support for our portfolio of more than 65 programs/events each year. This includes Orange Central Reunion and Homecoming weekend, affinity programs, academic partnership programs, tailgates for both football and basketball, and other additional programs on campus and across the country. He/she will also staff many on-campus programs and may be asked to travel to select regions to provide assistance. Qualifications * Bachelor s Degree is required. * Excellent and very strong attention to detail. * Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. * Strong computer skills including basic and advanced functions in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word. * A valid, enhanced driver license is required. Job_Specific_Qualifications * Skill to contribute as a team player in a respectful and professional environment. * Ability to work weekends and nights as necessary for programs. * Physical ability to assist with set-up and breakdown events and stand for long periods. * Ability and willingness to learn new online systems including iModules (alumni website) and Blackbaud (alumni database). * Positive attitude, highly organized and ability to multi-task. * Willingness and ability to travel for national alumni programs. Responsibilities * Assist with all the following aspects of alumni programs: planning and speaker documents, communication forms, research on specific program topics, speakers and on campus venues, name-tags and catering menus. * Provide support Orange Central weekend, which includes registration packets, name-tags, on campus requests, planning documents and staffing various programs through the entire weekend. * Staff local alumni programs assisting with set-up, breakdown, registration and other logistics.
