Job Description Job Description Job Title: Warehouse Worker Day Shift Job Description Join our dynamic warehouse team where you'll primarily work in the Unloading and Receiving departments. Your main role will involve unloading 18-wheelers, palletizing materials, and utilizing conveyance systems to manage product flow. Flexibility is key as you may also assist in labeling or moving products into the shipping area. Responsibilities Unload freight manually and manage freight flow without mobile equipment. Identify, separate, count, combine, and scan freight using warehouse management systems, scales, and scanners. Handle and process freight safely, reporting unsafe conditions and maintaining a clean work area. Load trucks with a focus on material handling, ensuring heavy products are placed on the bottom. Enter and locate information using computer systems or communication devices, and write documents or reports if needed. Remain near the dock throughout the day with an emphasis on lifting and loading. Essential Skills Experience in warehouse operations, loading, and unloading (0-2 years). Proficiency in order pulling, inventory management, forklift operation, and shipping and receiving. Familiarity with RF scanners and material handling. Additional Skills & Qualifications Proven track record of good attendance and flexibility to meet goals. Previous experience in labor-intensive roles and familiarity with strict break structures. Prior truck experience and ability to move 1000 pieces per hour. Capability to lift up to 60 lbs and adaptability to move between areas. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a climate-controlled warehouse, though temperatures may fluctuate near bay doors. Dress code includes jeans, shorts, and closed-toed shoes or boots. Cell phones must be kept out of sight during work hours, and ear buds are not permitted. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marcy, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
