Nesco Resource is partnering with a well-established client in the Nichols, NY area to find a skilled Forklift Operator to join their growing team. Forklift Operator – 1st Shift Location: Nichols, NY Pay Rate: $17.00/hour Schedule: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 2-2-3 Schedule Type: Temp-to-Hire Full-Time Conversion Benefits Include: 100% Employer-Covered Health Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan Life Insurance Paid Time Off Position Summary: We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Forklift Operator with experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting. Safety is our top priority, and we need someone who values safe operating practices while efficiently managing material flow across the facility. Key Responsibilities: Operate forklifts safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies Load/unload trucks and transport materials across the warehouse and production areas Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and clear aisles Assist with order fulfillment and collaborate with warehouse staff Follow all safety, quality, and environmental protocols Qualifications: Previous forklift experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment required Familiarity with inventory systems a plus Comfortable using pallet jacks, reach trucks, or other MHE Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Able to lift and move up to 50 lbs safely Excellent communication and teamwork skills Flexibility for various shifts, if needed Steel-toed shoes required Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and manual handling Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds Working Environment: Active packaging/production floor and warehouse setting Exposure to loud noise levels and frequent forklift traffic COM035 Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
