We are seeking a mid-level attorney responsible for providing
practical and effective legal solutions in connection with
industry-leading variable insurance products offered by Equitable.
You will be a key thought partner in the design, implementation,
distribution, and administration of Equitable's variable annuity
and variable life insurance products. You will work closely with
the SEC on registered variable insurance product filings and
provide key legal support and advice in connection with variable
insurance products offered by Equitable. You must be willing to

focus on the following key responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Provide advice and expertise on a range of legal matters in
connection with various securities and insurance law issues that
may arise concerning the design, implementation, distribution, and
administration of variable annuity and variable life insurance
Draft variable insurance product prospectus disclosure
Prepare, review, and file variable annuity and variable life
registration statements and supplements with the SEC
Coordinate and respond to SEC comments in connection with variable
annuity and life insurance SEC filings
Note: This position is working 100% remote.

Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and

tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding; ability to use
summarization and simplification techniques to explain complex
technical concepts in simple, clear language appropriate to the

decision-making process and associated tools and techniques;
ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive
decisions based on informed judgment.
Legal Analysis: Knowledge of methods and tools used in legal
analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions
from both legal and factual information.
Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture"
thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and
competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success
factors for the organization.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: Demonstrates a commitment to

and dignity, ensuring all voices are heard and advocating for
Juris Doctorate degree required
Member in good standing of a State Bar Association required
5 years of experience with Investment Company Act of 1940
securities filings and/or variable insurance products
Knowledge of federal securities laws and rules applicable to
variable insurance products
Proven critical thinking and analytical skills
Ability to maintain high level of professionalism under stress
Ability to work independently under strict deadlines
Experience with technical writing is a plus
