Software Engineer Tracking Code PG147 Job Description The SILC program develops, demonstrates and delivers Software Defined Radio (SDR) systems that fully interoperate with DoD digital radio systems at all modes at highest data rates and minimal cost.Responsibilities for this position will include software development, maintenance, documentation, release, and support to DOD customers. Refactoring of the codebase and extension of existing software is a secondary, though common, task. Creation of new software in C++ or Python 3 may be required. Knowledge of software defined radio, digital signal processing and computer networking is preferred, as are familiarity with documentation generation tools (e.g. Doxygen) and version control tools (e.g. git). Required Skills

• C++ and Python 3 programming experience.
• GitLab / GitHub / AWS experience.
• Linux programming experience.
• Digital Signal Processing (DSP) programming experience preferred.
• Software Defined Radio (SDR) experience a plus! Required Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or Information Technology
  • Software development experience on the Linux operating system (Ubuntu, Red Hat)
  • Demonstrated experience with C++ and Python 3 programming languages
  • Experience using an Integrated Development Environment (CLion, NetBeans, Eclipse)
  • Experience using a Continuing Integration Tool (Bamboo, AWS Codebuild, Circle CI, Gitlab)
  • Team player attitude with a willingness to lead when necessary
  • Fast learner who adapts to changing requirements
