Syracuse University Information Technology Services is seeking a talented Information Technology Analyst to join our Academic Applications and Service Centers group. The Information Technology Analyst, can expect to work with a team of highly skilled, creative, and passionate IT Analysts. The IT Analyst plays a critical role in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise level academic and support applications, tools, and services for the Syracuse University community. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, human computer interaction, education or the equivalent combination of education and experience are required. Master's degree preferred. A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in customer service, assistive technology or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience in higher education preferred Experience with Enterprise Academic Video Services systems is preferred. Experience managing Linux or Microsoft servers is required. Job Specific Qualifications Experience in working with and assisting in the development of user requirements and specifications, and understands and incorporates accessibility and universal design elements. Excellent customer service skills and ability to build strong customer relationships, and possess strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to quickly adjust plans according to customer's needs. Ability to work collaboratively with ITS staff to foster creative solutions as well as sharing of technical knowledge. Experience and familiarity with administering, Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS, Linux, Tomcat, and Apache HTTP Server. Responsibilities Work within a team of system administrators, project managers, faculty support specialists and other technical support staff that design, develop, implement, and maintain academic, support, and interactive applications as needed, with an emphasis on accessibility, security, upgrades, and user support. Maintain and create documentation and procedures for the entire lifecycle of services/applications. Present to target audiences, communicates with users from across the university, and assists with subject matter experts. Review statistics and monitor analytics for site health.
