As an experienced and essential member of the Payroll Team, under the guidance and direction of the Payroll Manager, this senior payroll position will require timely and accurate payroll processing on a weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly basis, as well as perform accounting/financial functions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Candidate will be engaged in activities and projects at a multi-departmental level, as this Accounting position will work closely with Human Resources. This position will require vast payroll knowledge in a multi-state environment. You will:

Maintain the data within HR, Time & Attendance, and Payroll Systems within a paperless environment utilizing the ADP Vantage platform in conjunction with an Adobe .pdf internal filing system.Maintain and update employee records, including tax withholdings, child support, income executions, and other wage garnishments in compliance with all Federal and State laws.Contribute in the weekly review, audit, and payroll process, utilizing the ADP Vantage platform.Ability to independently process, audit, and review payroll information to check for erroneous entries prior to acceptance.Develop and run necessary queries for reporting purposes to various groups.Processing of invoices and corresponding journal entries for temporary agency employees.Preparing journal entries, financial reports, bank reconciliations, and/or conducting/analyzing audits.Knowledge of business registration processes for setting up new payroll taxing jurisdictions if needed.Experience with withholding and unemployment tax filing and reporting.Knowledge of components of W-2's in order to reconcile to related payroll records.Familiarity with taxation requirements of payroll deductions, such as 401k, deferred compensation, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, and other various caf-- 125 options. Compile and report wage data for employment verification, disability, and worker's compensation requests.Maintain records of financial documents and other required information with appropriate supporting material. Work closely with both internal and external auditors for various audit requests.File all necessary reports and documents in compliance with company record retention policies.Work with Manager and Controller to maintain, monitor, and improve internal controls to provide proper accounting, reporting, and control of all financial activities within the payroll environment.Completion of the month-end results close process:
Prepare standard and non-standard journal entries, bank and account reconciliations,Analyze, research and review unusual entries or balances,Preparation and review of standard month-end reports, and distribute within deadlines.Under manager's direction, develop, or improve, and maintain Standard Work Processes for the Payroll Department. Promote an environment of collaboration, trust and professional relationships. Demonstrate high level of commitment to teamwork and support cross-functional team involvement.Ability to deal sensitively with confidential data and maintain professionalism.Strong customer service skills. Related work as assigned or required. About the schedule:This position is 1st shift. About you:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field required2 or more years of accounting or finance experience requiredCPP certification is a plus, a minimum of an FPC is preferredGeneral accounting knowledge is required. ADP (Vantage or other versions), and SAP business systems experience is preferredStrong Mathematical, advanced Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat skills are requiredGood analytical ability to modify existing procedures or techniques is requiredExperience with end-to-end payroll processing of at least 200 or more employees is requiredIt would be great if you had:

High level of energy to move the business forward and to see projects through to completion. Adaptability to execute plans and meet tight deadlines.The ability to engage in business discussions with peers and management, as well as outside vendors is required. Self-starter with the ability to work with limited supervision and direction.
