Job Description:

Line Cook Duties A Line Cook prepares food using recipes and menu items created by the Executive Chef and helps keep the kitchen running smoothly. Some of their key duties and responsibilities include: Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers and snacks Plating prepared foods based on senior chef’s guidance Working with whole team to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored Works kitchen station as assigned Manages supplies and ensures orderly work areas QUALIFICATIONS Basic culinary coursework or equivalent experience highly preferred High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma preferred One year of experience in the restaurant industry Previous experience preferred Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed Moxie Wood Fire Grill has been voted the Southern Tier's top fine dining restaurant by the Press & Sun Bulletin’s People’s Choice Awards and has been awarded the coveted "Award of Excellence" by Wine Spectator for our selection of world-class fine wines.
