Facility in Syracuse, NY seeking Pathology locums coverageRates: $270/hrOpportunity HighlightsCoverage Period: 3 to 6 months (Ongoing need due to shortage).Schedule: Full-time, hospital-based hours. No call schedule required.Lab Environment: CLIA and NYS certified.Team Dynamics: Collaborative group including 4 Physicians, 5 Histotechnologists, 1 Pathology Assistant, and 2 Cytotechnologists.EMR/LTS: EPIC / Beaker.Credentialing: Prompt 40- to 45-day timeframe.Clinical ResponsibilitiesAs a key member of the pathology team, you will handle a diverse case load with modern diagnostic equipment, including the ThinPrep integrated imager (Hologic) and Avantik QS cryostats.Required Anatomic Pathology Procedures:Surgical PathologyCytology (ThinPrep method)Frozen Section Analysis (Cryostat cutting required)Grossing of specimensVolume Snapshot:Surgical Specimens: 13,000 per yearCytology Specimens: 3,000 per yearProvider RequirementsBoard Status: AP Board Certified (Required).Licensure: Active New York State (NYS) license (Required).Certifications: Cytology Proficiency Exam required for GYN Cytology.Documentation: A Self-Query NPDB report must be pulled within the same month as the submission (Required).About WhiteCoat Locums:- Physician owned and led agency- Highest-Pay rates on the market- $1m/3m malpractice insurance and tail- 100% transparent
