Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Rochester, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,258 per week Shift Information: Rotating - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Rochester, New York, 14642! Job Title: Level 2 Registered Nurse ICU Stepdown Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Neuromusculoskeletal Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Shift Schedule - Weekends and Holidays Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Two (2) years of experience required License: RN License (New York License only) Certifications: BLS, ACLS (preferred) Must-Have: Stepdown/PCU experience, telemetry experience, high acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience Description: The Level 2 Registered Nurse is accountable for the provision of competent care based on established standards. This role includes responsibilities such as charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member as needed. Experience in stepdown and progressive care unit is essential. Candidates must have experience performing neuro checks, managing EVDs, lumbar drains, and sub-dural drains. Experience with 3% NS and cardene drips, arterial lines, carotid endarterectomy, and aneurysm coil/clips is required. Knowledge of deep brain stimulator insertion, VP shunts, and seizure management is necessary. Telemetry experience is required. BLS certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory. ACLS certification from the American Heart Association is preferred.
