working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Rochester,

Description: MUST HAVE NY LICENSE IN HAND - NO EXCEPTIONS.
Specialty: MSDU RN. Shift: 3x12 Nights 1900-0700. Weekend: Every
other weekend. First-time travelers accepted. Candidates must be
within a 75-mile radius. We care for patients transitioning from
the Emergency Department, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Intensive Care
Unit, and medical-surgical floors. Our team provides care to adult,
acute care patients who require specialized attention. All patients
receive continuous pulse-oximetry and telemetry monitoring. We
manage patients needing airway support, acute BIPAP support, and
those with arterial and central lines. Patient care services vary
based on individual needs. Our interdisciplinary team provides
vigilant and compassionate care. Staffing ratios typically consist
of 3 patients per nurse during the day and 4 patients per nurse at
night. Weekend shifts will have a patient ratio of 3 per nurse.
Floating to other units may be required. Knowledge of telemetry and
management of dysrhythmias is essential. Skills required include IV
therapy, peripheral line care, and management of cardiac drips.
Familiarity with nasal cannulas and oxygen administration is
necessary. Isolation precautions and personal protective equipment
(PPE) guidelines must be followed. The daily census is
approximately 17 patients. This unit collaborates with various
departments including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory
Services, and others to deliver comprehensive patient care. Nurses
will be expected to have experience in both telemetry and stepdown
