Details - Position is located in the SAM-4 Pavilion Med/Surg unit of a hospital setting - Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts (7p–7a) - Weekend and holiday coverage required - Floating to Med/Surg and PCU may be required - 13-week contract - No on-call responsibilities Requirements - Active NY RN license currently in hand - Current BLS certification (or obtained within 3 months of hire) - Coronary care experience required - Prior hospital RN experience preferred - Must have completed at least one successful travel assignment — first-time travelers will not be considered - Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing - Ability to assess and implement safe patient handling, including proper use of lifts - Strong leadership, prioritization, and delegation skills - Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills - 2 references from a Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager required — must be from within the past year and within the specialty Additional Information - Candidate must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates will not be considered - Candidate must reside within a 100-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position - May be required to assume charge nurse duties - Must be able to function effectively in high-stress situations and demonstrate creative problem-solving skills - Thorough knowledge of nursing principles required, including clinical, educational, mental, and spiritual patient care needs American Traveler Job ID P-686676.
