Job Description Job Description Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This role focuses on providing essential technical support in the operating room, ensuring a smooth and efficient surgical process. Responsibilities include preparing and cleaning the surgical environment, stocking necessary supplies and equipment, and assisting the surgeon by handling instruments during procedures. All tasks are performed under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, contributing to a high standard of patient care. Key Responsibilities: Thoroughly clean and inspect the operating room before and after surgical procedures Prepare surgical instruments and supplies to meet procedural requirements Assist the surgeon by passing instruments and managing surgical tools with precision Prepare patients preoperatively to ensure readiness for surgery Collaborate closely with nursing staff and surgical team members to maintain safety and compliance Qualifications and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Completion of a nationally accredited Surgical Technologist educational program with current certification, or Completion of a surgical technology training program through U.S. military service branches or Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, or At least one year of surgical technologist experience in a healthcare setting within four years prior to January 1, 2015 Location:Situated in Croghan, NY, this opportunity offers a chance to work within a community-focused healthcare environment surrounded by scenic natural landscapes and small-town charm.
