This Night Shift Neonatal Nursing job is ideal for experienced NICU nurses and travel RNs seeking New York nursing jobs./n /n/nJob Details/n /n - Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (Finger Lakes, New York)/n - Setting: NICU – Maternal Child Health Unit/n - Employment Type: Travel Contract / Travel Nursing Job/n - Start Date: March 16, 2026/n - End Date: June 15, 2026/n - Duration: 13 weeks/n - Shift: 12-hour nights, 3 shifts per week (Night Shift NICU RN)/n - Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week/n - Estimated Weekly Salary: $2580-$2720/week/n - Technology: Epic EMR (experience with Epic preferred)/n /n/nJob Requirements / Qualifications/n /n - Minimum of 1 year of RN experience (NICU, neonatal care, or Maternal Child Health preferred)/n - Associate of Applied Science in Nursing or higher; BSN preferred for neonatal nursing roles/n - Current NYS RN license (New York nursing license required)/n - BLS certification required upon hire/n - ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required within 6 months of hire/n - Physical ability to perform patient care duties, including light lifting and extended periods of standing, walking, or sitting/n - Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred (experience with electronic charting and documentation)/n /n/nResponsibilities/n /n - Provide direct patient care to neonates and infants in the NICU within the Maternal Child Health department as a NICU nurse / neonatal RN/n - Collaborate with unit leadership and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, evidence-based neonatal care/n - Perform observation, data collection, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs—physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual/n - Follow nursing standards and best practices from relevant professional organizations (AWHONN, ACOG, NNA, AORN)/n - Document care and interventions accurately using Epic EMR and maintain clear, timely charting/n - Maintain a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment for patients and families; provide family-centered care and education/n /n/n /n This NICU RN night shift travel position is a great match for neonatal nurses seeking travel nursing jobs or New York healthcare opportunities in Ithaca and the Finger Lakes.
