Job Title: Cardiac Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiac Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12.0 Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7a to 7p) Experience: Two years of operating room experience in a level 1 trauma is preferred. License: RN License (New York) required. Certifications: BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required. Must-Have: Ability to scrub and circulate in the operating room. Description: The Adult Cardiac Operating Room cares for a wide variety of patients. Common procedures include CABGs, TAVIs, and Heart Failure treatments such as VADs, ECMO, Artificial Hearts, and Heart Transplants. The multidisciplinary approach employed by the OR staff ensures comprehensive care for patients of all ages. A minimum of two years of operating room experience is required, with experience in a level 1 trauma setting highly desired. Applicants must possess a valid RN license in New York and certifications in BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association.
