14850 (New York healthcare jobs) - Assignment Length: 13 weeks
(September 30, 2024 – December 30, 2024) - Healthcare Setting: Prep
& Recovery Unit (PACU nursing jobs) - Schedule: Day shifts;
preferred 3x12-hour or 4x10-hour shifts per week - Guaranteed
Hours: 36 hours per week - Estimated Weekly Pay: $1930 - $2070 -
On-Call: 1 weekend day (24-hour call) in a 6-week rotation, plus
weekday call - Flexible scheduling available RN Qualifications &
Requirements - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York
State or compact state - Minimum 1 year of recent experience in
PACU, Prep & Recovery, or critical care nursing - BLS certification
required (American Heart Association preferred) - Experience with
peripheral nerve blocks preferred - Pediatric nursing experience
(age 6 months and older) preferred - Familiarity with Meditech EMR
preferred, but not required PACU RN Responsibilities - Deliver
Phase I and Phase II post-anesthesia recovery care and discharge in
a single PACU unit - Manage a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, including
care for two Phase I patients as needed - Provide care for
inpatient and outpatient surgical patients, including elective,
urgent, and emergent cases - Assist with local procedures
(thoracentesis, paracentesis, minor orthopedic procedures) -
Recover patients from multiple specialties: orthopedic, general
surgery, ENT, neurology, plastics, urology, and gynecology - Care
for pediatric patients during high-volume ENT days and other
pediatric surgeries - Recover ICU and endoscopy (MAC) patients as
needed - Participate in on-call rotation and support flexible
scheduling for optimal patient care - Collaborate with a
multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality
