Job Description PharmPro Staffing Inc is seeking a Pharmacist for a job in Johnson City, New York. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Pharmacist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Duration: Ongoing - 50 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, flexible - Employment Type: Staff We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist to join our independent retail pharmacy team. This position is an as needed position and flexibility is essential. Weekly hours will vary based on what is required, but will include every other to every third weekend, vacation coverage and 5-10 possible hours a week or more. The ideal candidate will possess strong retail pharmacy skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient service. Responsibilities Dispensing & Verification: Interpreting, checking, and dispensing medication orders for safety, accuracy, and appropriate dosing. Clinical Duties: Monitoring patient drug therapies, checking for drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, and allergies. Patient Care: Counseling patients on medication usage, side effects, and storage. Collaboration: Consulting with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize drug therapy. Supervision: Overseeing the daily activities of pharmacy technicians and students. Documentation: Accurately maintaining medication records, particularly for controlled substances. Immunization: Providing immunizations for patients. Requirements Valid pharmacist license with current registration and current license to immunize. Prior experience in retail pharmacy settings.
