Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n RN - ED /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM /n• 13-week assignment with 36-hour guarantee per week /n• Must comply with 100-mile radius rule /n• Current New York State RN license required /n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (PALS must be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer) /n• MEDITECH experience required /n• Travel experience required /n• Must be a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing /n• Critical care and charge experience preferred /n• Must successfully complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation /n• Must obtain defibrillation certification within six months of employment /n• Must become IV, medication and phlebotomy certified during orientation /n• Ability to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations required /n• Must possess thorough knowledge of nursing principles and ability to provide quality patient care /n• Ability to assess patient needs including clinical, teaching, mental and spiritual aspects /n• Must recognize safety issues and implement safe patient handling using lifts /n• Must function well in stressful situations with strong problem-solving skills /n• Strong leadership skills with ability to prioritize and delegate /n• May be required to assume charge nurse duties /n• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required /n/n Facility: /n This medical center provides comprehensive emergency department services with a focus on high-quality patient care and advanced medical interventions.
