Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/02/2026 - Duration: 14 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department contract requiring a current NY RN license and prior travel nurse experience. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in the Emergency Department within a hospital setting - Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM - 12-hour shifts, three shifts per week - 13-week contract assignment - No on-call responsibilities - Use of MEDITECH EMR with experience required - May be required to assume charge nurse duties - Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills necessary - Ability to identify and intervene in life threatening emergencies - Must recognize safety issues and use lifts for safe patient handling /n /n Requirements/n - Active NY RN license required - BLS and ACLS certifications required - PALS certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire - Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing - Minimum of one year acute care nursing experience required - Travel nursing experience required - Proficiency with MEDITECH EMR required - Must be IV, medication, and phlebotomy certified during orientation - Must successfully complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation and be defibrillation certified within six months - 75 mile radius rule applies; local candidates not accepted /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-667550.
