Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Potsdam, NY Agency: Revolution Healthcare Services Pay: $2,254 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified PCU RN in Potsdam, New York, 13676! Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit / Telemetry Nurse – New York Start Date: February 23, 2026 Location: Potsdam, New York Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Block scheduling; ratios 1:3-5 days/weekends, 1:3-6 nights (adjusted by acuity); every other weekend; float to sister units as needed Highlights: Mixed acuity unit serving PCU, Medical-Surgical Telemetry, and stepdown patients Diverse patient population including surgical pre/post-op (ENT, general, trauma, ortho), overflow medical diagnoses, and rare pediatric cases Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols 12-hour orientation with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory, pharmacy, and rapid response teams 24-bed unit with full telemetry monitoring and advanced cardiac, respiratory, and wound care capabilities 13-week travel assignment with one approved RTO block (maximum 7 days) Requirements: Active New York RN license required prior to submission Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; PCU/IMC/Stepdown experience within the last 3 years is required Epic charting experience is mandatory Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Preferred certifications: PALS, TCAR Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility Strong skill set in telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, wound care, chest tube management, airway management, and complex medical-surgical care Experience with cardiac drips (titration), insulin protocols, blood product administration, central line management, and respiratory support (CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula) Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work in a dynamic, mixed-acuity environment where you'll utilize advanced nursing skills across multiple specialties including cardiac, surgical, trauma, and critical care.
