As a Security Guard - Hospital Patrol Driver in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and foster a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate. - Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism in a healthcare environment. - Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including both interior areas and the surrounding perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. - Monitor access points and observe activity within the location, reporting any unusual or suspicious behavior in accordance with Allied Universal and site protocols. - Communicate clearly and respectfully with individuals on site, offering guidance and assistance as needed, and collaborating with medical staff when required. - Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines. - Remain alert to the unique needs of a healthcare location, adapting responses appropriately to interactions with patients, visitors, and medical personnel. Minimum Requirements: - A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located. - A valid New York State Security Guard License is required. - At least 6 months of security-related experience is required. - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles. - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. - A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
