Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVOR Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech Cardiac /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 36 or 48 hours per week with DEN rotation schedule /n• Weekend, holiday, and on-call responsibilities per unit needs /n• Provide technical knowledge in preparing instruments, equipment and supplies for surgical procedures /n• Assist surgical team from scrub position during cardiac operations /n• Care for patients undergoing CABG's, TAVI's, and heart failure procedures (VADs, ECMO, artificial heart, and heart transplants) /n• Maintain proper care and handling of instruments and facilitate room turnover between cases /n• Maintain sterile technique and safe handling of sharps /n• Perform surgical counts per hospital policy /n• Handle solutions and pharmacologic agents under registered nurse direction /n• Must be able to scrub and circulate /n• NBSTSA Certification or 10 years of surgical technician experience required /n• Two years of recent cardiac OR experience required /n• NY state license required /n• BLS certification (American Heart Association only) required /n• Level 1 trauma OR experience preferred /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility features an adult cardiac operating room that provides comprehensive cardiac surgical services using a multidisciplinary approach. The facility cares for patients of all ages requiring complex cardiac procedures and maintains high standards for surgical care.
