Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/09/2026 - Duration: 12 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours - Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Step-Down Location: Rome, NY 13440 Duration: 13-week contract (ASAP start) Shift: Night Shift | 12-hour shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Key Responsibilities - Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Medical-Surgical Step-Down unit - Monitor and manage patients requiring step-down and telemetry-level care - Maintain patient safety with a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 6:1 - Administer medications and perform ongoing patient assessments - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient outcomes - Document patient care accurately using Paragon EMR and Pyxis systems Required Qualifications - Minimum of 1–2 years of recent Step-Down or Telemetry RN experience - Active RN license (state-specific or compact, as applicable) Current Certifications - BLS - ACLS - NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Paragon EMR - Experience caring for adult and geriatric populations HonorVet Technologies Job ID 31716359.
