Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year License: New York license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Must-Have: - Must have New York license in hand - EPIC experience required - Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 for MedSurg Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in MedSurg/Tele. The shift is four 12-hour days from 07:00 to 19:00. Every other weekend is required. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. Locals must reside within a 75-mile radius. Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of relevant experience. ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications are mandatory for consideration. Candidates should be proficient in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. The role includes responsibilities such as IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care. The unit specializes in the care of acute stroke patients and other neurological disorders, along with acute medical care. The facility offers a collaborative environment to facilitate evidenced-based care. Additional skills required include the use of rapid response and code teams. Experience with blood product administration and non-invasive airway management is essential. Administrative tasks may include maintaining isolation precautions.
