ID: 75031111 Shift: 8hr Days 8x5 Description: HWL Medical Center-AN-0672 OR RN\r\n100 MILE RADIUS RULE\r\n8 hour Days\r\n13 weeks\r\n2 years experience required\r\nGraduate from an accredited School of Nursing.\r\nCurrent NYS RN license\r\nThose without recent previous Operating room experience must participate and pass the six month Association of Operating Room Nursing Peri-operative 101 Education Program.\r\nSuccessful completion and passing grade on the final exam is mandatory and a condition of employment as an Operating room RN.\r\nBLS required\r\nACLS preferred.\r\nMinimum one year medical/surgical experience preferred; preceptorship, charge and leadership abilities preferred for experienced RNs.\r\nExperienced RN will possess a thorough knowledge of nursing principles, ability to provide quality patient care, and ability to assess patient's needs, e.g. clinical, teaching, mental and spiritual.\r\nMust recognize safety issues to self and others and be able to assess and implement use of lifts to move patients in a safe manner.\r\nMust be able to function well in stressful situations and have good, creative, problem-solving skills.\r\nStrong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate.\r\nMay be required to assume duties as a charge nurse.\r\nExcellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required.\r\nKnowledge in the use of typical clinical equipment instrumentation utilized in providing a safe and/or aseptic environment in and OR/ASU setting.\r\nLethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills.\r\nOn call required (Response time of 30 minutes).
