St. Josephs Health, a member of Trinity Health, is seeking Gastroenterology Physicians for a Hospitalist Model for our new service at St. Joseph's Health in Syracuse, NY. Position Highlights: Serve as a GI Hospitalist, providing inpatient consults and performing procedures. Collaborate within a robust health system that is part of Trinity Health, one of the largest multi-institutional Catholic Health care systems in the nation. 7 on-7 off model Administration strongly supportive of GI department growth and vision Large network of primary care and specialty physicians Call for this opportunity is currently one weekend per month; affiliated groups provide evening and weekend coverage Hospital inpatient volume averages 15-20 patients and 3-7 new consults daily Resident teaching and clinical research opportunities The practice is looking to foster and grow expertise in the following areas: Advanced Endoscopy - including EUS w/ therapeutics, Advanced ERCP skills, EMR/ESD and enteroscopy Inflammatory bowel disease Hepatology (non-transplant) Esophageal and rectal manometry This is an exciting opportunity for the right Gastroenterology physician to be part of a new opportunity and build a lifelong career within a strong health network.
