Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery Location: Watertown, NY Agency: Job.com Pay: $2,400 to $2,500 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Job.com to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Watertown, New York, 13601! Provide direct nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. Perform vaginal examinations and assess labor progress. Circulate and assist during cesarean sections, including patient recovery following spinal anesthesia. Monitor and document maternal and fetal conditions, vital signs, and labor progress. Identify and intervene promptly in life-threatening or emergent obstetric situations. Educate patients and families on childbirth, breastfeeding, and postpartum care. Collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and neonatal staff to ensure coordinated care. Ensure compliance with safety standards and hospital policies. Utilize lifts and assistive devices for safe patient handling. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system. BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Required Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred). Skills & Competencies: Ability to recognize and respond to life-threatening situations. Proficiency in performing vaginal exams and circulating cesarean sections.
