Job Description Responsibilities: A Registered Nurse who, under the direction of the nursing leadership, is responsible for planning, directing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating nursing care for a specific unit during her/his shift. /n /n - Receives report from previous shift, making sure that he/she has received all pertinent information on each resident. /n - Continuously evaluates behavior, symptoms, reactions and progress of residents and discusses findings with Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse. /n - Administers and documents all medications according to established policies and procedures, physician's orders and Department of Health regulations. /n - Performs all treatments according to physician’s specific order and established policies and procedures. /n - Discusses the need to discontinue or change a medication of treatment with the Nurse Manager/ Charge Nurse. /n - Orders prescribed medications, notifies pharmacy of discontinued medications: and ensures accuracy of medications and dosages when received from pharmacy. /n
