Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Watertown, New

Type: Travel Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and
skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join our
dynamic team. The ED RN will provide high-quality, compassionate
care to patients in a fast-paced emergency setting. This role
requires the ability to respond quickly to life-threatening
situations and to work effectively under pressure with strong
clinical judgment. Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive nursing
care to patients in the ED Assess patient conditions and initiate
appropriate interventions Respond to emergencies and intervene in
critical situations Safely administer medications and perform IV
therapy and phlebotomy Accurately document patient care in MEDITECH
May function in a Charge Nurse role when required Collaborate with
interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge
instructions Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of
Nursing Current NYS RN License required BLS and ACLS certifications
required PALS required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire
Must pass lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation and become
defibrillation certified within 6 months IV, medication, and
phlebotomy certification required during orientation Prior
Emergency Department experience preferred; minimum of 1 year acute
care nursing required Charge nurse and critical care experience
preferred Skills & Attributes: Ability to recognize and respond to
life-threatening situations Strong clinical, organizational, and
leadership skills Creative problem-solver with ability to
prioritize and delegate Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills Ability to work in high-stress environments while
maintaining professionalism Knowledge of patient safety practices
including safe patient handling/lifting
