Job Description HonorVet Technologies is seeking a local contract nurse RN Psychiatric for a local contract nursing job in Utica, New York. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Psychiatric - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 07/28/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Local Contract Night Shift RN Opportunity – Mohawk Correctional Facility (Rome, NY) Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Hours: 36 hours per week Days Off: Will be scheduled and include alternating weekends off Start Date: August We have a night shift opening for a Registered Nurse 1 at Mohawk Correctional Facility, providing direct nursing care to children and youth in a secure setting. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver direct patient care, including health assessments, medication administration, and treatments as prescribed. - Develop and implement nursing care plans. - Monitor and report changes in patient conditions. - Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary care team. - Provide health education and counseling. - Supervise and support LPNs, Graduate Nurses, and direct care staff. - Ensure infection control protocols are followed. Minimum Qualifications: - Registered Nurse 1: Must possess a valid NYS RN license and current registration. - Graduate Nurse: Must possess a limited permit as a graduate nurse or be eligible for the NYS RN exam.
