Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse Acute Care Profession:
Licensed Practical Nurse Specialty: - Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day
Hours per Shift: 40.00 Experience: Up to three (3) years of
experience License: Current New York State Practical Nurse License
or Permit Certifications: BLS certification preferred Must-Have:
Graduation from an accredited school of Practical Nursing.

Quality. Reliability. Safety and Risk Management. Description: The
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Acute Care provides skilled nursing
care tasks and procedures under the direction of an RN, nurse
practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, physician, or other
authorized health care provider in the Inpatient Specialty Care
departments. Essential functions are those tasks, duties, and
responsibilities that are performed with or without reasonable
accommodation. Performs clinical assignments within scope of
practice to maximize patient experience and ensure patient safety.
Promotes and facilitates the compliance and understanding of
regulatory standards. Under the direction of a provider or RN,
educates patient and family in health promotion and disease
management using available resources. Utilizes a working knowledge
of pharmacology and safey administers medications according to
hospital policy. Maintains lab standards and performs lab testing
and proficiency validations according to regulatory standards.
Collaborates with patients, families, and other members of the
healthcare team to coordinate patient care. Participates in
Performance Improvement activities, reviews data, and assists in
the development of Performance Improvement plans. Participates in
educational opportunities.
