Job Title: Diagnostic Imaging Technologist CT Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Technologist Specialty: - Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: CT and X-Ray experience required License: NYS Radiology Technologist license Certifications: ARRT(R), BLS Certification Must-Have: Associate's degree in radiologic technology Description: The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist CT will ensure that the evaluation of Radiology procedures, equipment, and staff are administered accurately, timely, responsively, and reliably. Customers served include employees, medical staff, patients, and regulatory agencies. Priority will be given to activities that directly affect customer service. Confidentiality of patients and hospital information must be maintained. Compliance with all hospital policies and procedures related to incident reporting is mandatory. Performs other related duties as required. Demonstrates the ability to perform CT procedures as requested by referring physicians. Adequate radiation safety practices must be demonstrated to protect both patients and co-workers. Participation in all Radiology Management System functions pertaining to patient procedures is required. Provides patient education as needed. Effective communication with referring physicians and radiologist staff is essential for the efficient delivery of CT procedures. Abiding by the service delivery standards of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology is expected during interactions with patients, visitors, employees, or other customers. Adherence to appropriate and accepted clinical principles, methods, and procedures while performing CT procedures is required. Attention to detail, collaboration, continuous learning, initiative, judgment/critical thinking, problem-solving, quality, reliability, and technical expertise are necessary skills.
