We are a Primary Care company, seeking to hire a Medical Director - Physician to join or team to provide medical care within a skilled nursing Facility.We are looking for someone with the ability to cover our facilities in the Utica and Rome NY (only 1 facility per day).Responsibilities:Performs medical review activities pertaining to utilization review, quality assurance, and medical review of complex medical services, ensuring timely and quality decision making.Provides medical expertise in the operation of approved quality improvement and utilization management programs in accordance with regulatory, state, and corporate requirements.Work directly with providers to mentor and educate them on our care process and determine what can be done to improve overall care qualityParticipate in various administrative, clinical staff meetingsDevelop and update policies and proceduresProviding primary care to patients, as a secondary to the in-house providerPrescribe medications including narcotics and controlled substances when needed.Enhancing cooperation and coordination between Nurses, Physicians and relevant medical departments, to ensure the success of the institutionRequirements:Medical degree from accredited program.Active NY license to practice in field.Job Type: Full-timePay: $285,000 per year+Benefits:401(k) matchingHealth insuranceMalpractice insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistancePrimary care specialties:GeriatricsInternal MedicinePrimary CareSchedule:Day shiftLicense/Certification:NY DEA (Preferred)Work Location: In personby Jobble
