The Registered Nurse Surgical Admit & Recovery is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients before and after surgical procedures, ensuring safe transitions between preoperative and post-anesthesia care phases.What You Will Do

• Assess and prepare patients for surgery, including reviewing medical history and administering preoperative medications. Monitor patients in the Pre-Op area, ensuring they are stable and ready for surgery.
• Provide immediate post-anesthesia care, monitoring vital signs and assessing for complications.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, discharge instructions, and recovery expectations.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly to changing patient conditions.Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program. BSN graduate preferred.
  • Licensure: Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in New York.
  • Certification: BLS/CPR. CNOR or CPAN certification a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1- 2 years' experience in Pre-Op, PACU, or Surgical/Perioperative NursingWork Schedule: Part Time-24 Hours Day/Night Rotation-12 Hour Shifts, Monday thru Thursday. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
