us. This unit is part of our new and advanced Virtual Connected
Care Together Team nursing model that integrates experienced
telemedicine RN s into care assignments, thus helping with the
workload. We offer a strong orientation program and opportunities
for continued education and growth. Schedules include 8-hour
Evening, 8-hour Night (or Rotate 8 E/N), 12D/12N Rotation and
12-hour Night positions. This team is dedicated to patient care and

us!Unit 3-2 is an inpatient oncology unit specializing in cancer
treatment, chemotherapy, and palliative care. Focused training
includes CORE EKG, chemotherapy, and oncology nurse education

safety.*Responsibilities:** Responsible for collaboration,
communication & facilitation of optimal provision of care in
addition to being involved in the provision of direct care of
patients and families.* Responsible for the assessment, planning,
implementation, coordination, monitoring & evaluation of the
patient's plan of care from admission to discharge.* Provide
quality holistic nursing interventions, med/surge nursing
interventions and hands on skills including class II telemetry
monitoring and chemotherapy administration, respiratory support,
critical thinking and more.* Collaborative team approach: SNAP
rounding daily with interdisciplinary team including physicians,
clinical affiliates, medical social work, care managers, nutrition,
Rehab services, spiritual care, and pharmacy.* Ensures quality
nursing care is rendered to all patients in accordance with the New
York Nurse Practice Act, National Standards of Practice, and
Nursing and Clinical Service standards of care and practice.*
Ensure a seamless, effective, efficient transition of care across
the continuum.* Participates in monitoring quality metrics specific
to the department & ensure complete & accurate documentation in the
patient record.* Act as 1) mentor; 2) clinician; 3) educator; 4)
consultant/collaborator; and 5) navigator.*Education, Training,
Experience, Certification and Licensure:** Graduation from an
accredited school of nursing and current licensure in the State of
New York*.** Baccalaureate Degree in the Science of Nursing (BSN)
degree from an accredited school of nursing preferred, according to
NYS requirements.* One-year Med Surg or Critical Care Experience.*
**GNs or RNs with * Specialty credentialing & educational degree
according to clinical nursing practice specialty area preferred.*
Maintains all licensures and certifications according to NYS
regulations and specialty area requirements.* Participates in
continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills
