Our 24 hour facility treats patients from all backgrounds and levels of care. This is your chance to develop and master your skills with the opportunity to work in our Regional Level 4 NICU, Level 3 Trauma Center Emergency Department, Adult Medical ICU, Adult Neuro ICU, Sleep Center, Catheterization laboratory, and Acute Care Medical/Surgical Units.Schedule: 7:00am-7:30pm, 3:00pm-3:30 AM with holidays, weekends and other shifts assignedPay Rate: $28.80 - $43.80/hourResponsibilities:Communicate, teach and explain rationale of therapy to patients and family members.Respond to emergency calls and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation as well as implement emergency oxygen and arterial blood gas protocol as necessaryDraw routine and emergency arterial blood gases and interpret results to monitor the patient's respiratory and ventilatory status.Monitor and troubleshoot adult, pediatric (Emergency Department/Cath Lab), and neonatal ventilators; change ventilator tubing and other respiratory equipment.Provide oxygen therapy according to physician's order, perform oximetry readings to accurately determine oxygen saturation, nocturnal oximetry studies, make oxygen rounds to document patient usage and complete micro-draws where appropriate.Perform respiratory parameters, extubations, tracheostomy tubes changes, endotracheal suctioning, and transporting critically ill patients within the hospital.Evaluate, set up and monitor patients receiving Non Invasive Positive Pressure Ventilation (NIPPV) and BIPAP assistance.Requirements:Required:Two year Associates Degree in Respiratory Care at an AMA approved program.Current New York State License as a Respiratory TherapistCredentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within one (1) year of hire.Pediatric Advances Life Support (PALS) required within one (1) year of hire.Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certificationPreferred:Bachelors degreeProficient in Microsoft Office, healthcare/hospital related I.T/I.S programs, and databasesBenefits Overview:Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, and 401K.Company paid life insurance.Tuition Assistance and Workforce Development Opportunities.Crouse Health Employee Assistance Program.Employee discounts on any Inpatient or Outpatient service, hospital cafeteria and pharmacy, and certain retailers.YMCA Subsidy program.Location: Crouse Hospital Respiratory Therapy - 450Schedule: Part-Time-24hrs/week, Day/Evenings/Nights, 7:00am-7:30pm, 3:00Pm-3:30 AM w/holidays, weekends and other shifts assignedby Jobble
