Join DCI today to build relationships and gain fulfillment serving individuals in our comfortable clinical setting with a lower caregiver-to-patient ratio than other providers.The Dialysis Hospital Services Patient Care Technician, (CCHT) provides care to patients with end-stage renal disease, supporting hospital staff throughout the dialysis treatment process to deliver prescribed treatments. Our CCHTs are an integral part of the interdisciplinary team in ensuring safe care and the highest quality outcomes for every patient. This position is part of our Syracuse Hospital Services hemodialysis unit.Schedule: Full-time, four 10-hour shifts; Sundays off; no overnight shiftsCompensation: Pay range from $20-$28 per hour, depending on dialysis experienceSign On Bonus: 7500.00 for experienced dialyisis techBenefits:Paid 12-week training with preceptorComprehensive medical, dental and vision benefitsLife and long-term care insurance provided at no additional expense to employeePaid time off (PTO) including holidaysExtended Sick Bank (ESB) in addition to PTO paid time for doctor appointments, sickness or medical leaveRetirement plans with $.50 of each contributed dollar matched for eligible employees, up to 8 percentEducation reimbursementEmployee assistance programWellness programAmong othersResponsibilities:What You Can Expect:Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education activitiesGuide new patients through 120-day education planObtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatmentRole under RN supervisionSet up and break down dialysis blood system for treatmentInsert and remove patient access needlesMonitor patients during dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurse of any concernsCalculate patients weight loss to reach dry weightDetermine patient care priorities and organize work load accordinglyMaintain professional working relationship, observing patient privacy and rightsMaintain and track inventoryPerform laboratory workQualifications:Successful Candidates Bring:Excellent communication skillsDesire to collaborate with care teamsAbility to problem solveEducation/Training:High school diploma or GED requiredMust have CCHT CertificationAt least 6 months dialysis experience is required.Previous Healthcare experience required.DCIs Differentiator:Since opening the first clinic 50 years ago in Nashville, Tenn., our Dialysis Clinic, Inc. family has grown to be the nations largest nonprofit dialysis provider with more than 270 locations in 30 states, serving nearly 14,000 patients each day.
